From Prototype to Mass Production: Stainless Steel Fix for Lens Falling Out in Fish-Wire Sunglasses
Sunglasses have many details in design and production, and even a small detail will bring a decisive impact to the final product.
The other day, during the prototype test of a pair of sunglasses, called "fish-wire frame sunglasses" also known as nylon eyewire sunglasses, Nylon Rim, we were faced with a practical problem, the lens falling out, which will cause a hazard to the wearer and affect the user experience.
Problem :
If the stress structure and load-bearing of the fish-wire frame is not reasonable, the lens may become loose in the groove during long-term wearing or due to external forces, which appeared in the prototype test as fragmentation after repeated assembly and disassembly or when encountering large external forces, thus affecting the product reliability and user experience. This is a common issue in eyewear manufacturing, especially in nylon eyewire sunglasses.

To solve this problem completely for mass production while keeping the frame design unchanged, we have made the following two improvements to the structure:
1.Fine-carving fish-wire area with stainless steel
Without altering the overall structure, we replaced the fish-wire stress-bearing area with a fine-carved stainless steel structure for better stability and durability.
2.Back Rim locking Design
We added a hidden rim lock structure on the back of the frame that holds the lenses in place from the back, not only to enhance stability but also to completely remove the visible thread on the front for a cleaner and more beautiful overall appearance.

By implementing these two improvements, we have effectively eliminated the lens drop problem during the prototype stage during mass production: the lens is more secure, the durability is significantly improved, and there is no visible thread on the front, for a cleaner and more high-end overall appearance.The user experiences a safer, more durable, and more beautiful product.
