How to Ensure High-Quality in Acetate and Metal Frame Glasses Production

When producing combination glasses, acetate with metal glasses, acetate with titanium glasses,
factories often encounter some problems during the sampling. These problems are not only a challenge to the technical process, but also the key to ensuring the quality of the finished product.
The attachment is a pair of glasses that we recently customized. We have summarized several common problems in sampling and how to improve them, and finally improve the quality in mass production.

Common Issues Encountered During Sampling
A.Poor Fit
In combining metal with the acetate  ring, there can be mismatches in size or loose assembly, resulting in an unsatisfactory overall fit.
B.Edge Cracking (Burst Edge)
Uneven stress distribution or imprecise cutting can cause the acetate ring to crack at the edges.
C.Incorrect frame Curvature
Mismatches in the arc curvature between the metal frame and the acetate ring can make the overall frame appear misaligned. This discrepancy impacts both the design’s intended look and the comfort of the wearer.
D.Visible Cut Lines
Excessively visible cut lines, especially around the acetate ring, can give the glasses a rough, unfinished appearance.

How to Improve These Issues in Mass Production?
1.Start with the Acetate Ring – Precision Engraving and Rolling
During the samling stage, production should begin with the acetate  ring. Using precision CNC and engraving equipment to carefully process the inner ring ensures that both the curvature and dimensions are accurate.
2.Pre-bending the Acetate Ring
To improve the fit and curvature, special equipment is used to pre-bend the acetate  ring. This ensures a better match with the metal frame, reducing stress during assembly and improving the overall fit.
3.Metal Production: Matching with the Acetate Ring
Once the acetate ring is complete, the metal frame can be produced. It’s important to precisely adjust the metal so that each batch perfectly matches the rubber or acetate ring. This ensures a seamless combination of the two materials.
4.Metal Processing: Steel Sheets and Inner Rim Carving
When processing the metal frame, starting with the steel sheets and then engraving the inner rim ensures a smooth finish.
5.Bending the Metal Frame
The final step is to precisely bend the metal frame to align with the shape of the acetate ring. This ensures the finished glasses are not only structurally sound but also meet the desired design specifications.

By following these steps, we’ve been able to optimize every stage of production for acetate-metal combination glasses.
From initial sampling to full-scale production, our process addresses common challenges while ensuring high quality and consistency in mass production.

Our glasses factory has over 12 years of experience specializing in high-quality acetate eyewear, metal eyewear, titanium eyewear, and combination eyewear.

Whether it is engineering capabilities or production experience, we believe we have the ability to meet high-quality customization needs.
